Lambda Adds Two New Easy-to-Use Industrial EMI Filters
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 10, 2006) - Lambda has introduced two series of easy-to-use
industrial EMI filters. The new MA and MX series filters provide two levels of electrical noise
attenuation in the same-size package and offer unique time-saving connection methods –
enabling system designers to avoid compromising on filter choice based on installation costs,
mechanical compatibility and electrical performance constraints.
The filters are available in five current ratings – 6, 10, 16, 20 and 30 amps – and are rated
for 250VAC or 250VDC input, with a maximum earth leakage current of 1 milliamp (250VAC
60Hz). The single-stage MA series filters attenuate frequencies in the lower 150-500kHz band,
the two-stage MX filters over the wider 150kHz-30MHz band.
All MA and MX filters come in an identical compact package (2 x 3.6 x 1.6 inches), which
allows the devices to be easily interchanged without the need for mechanical or wiring
modifications. Installation costs are reduced by means of a unique hinged cover and a barrier
strip design that combines the convenience of captive screws with the safety of ring tag
MA and MX series EMI filters are available now, priced from $23.25 each in single-unit
