Lambda Introduces PCB-Mount AC-DC Power Supplies
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 28, 2007) - Lambda has introduced the KPS series of single
output 5 to 15-watt PCB mount power supplies. These small, lightweight units are ideal for use
in a wide variety of applications, such as process control, test-and-measurement and portable
The units are available in three different power levels and package sizes ranging from 1.38
x 2.17 x 0.79 inches (5-watt models) to 1.89 x 2.75 x 0.91 inches (15-watt models) and in all
commonly used output voltages from 3.3- to 24-volts. Typical efficiency for the 24-volt output
models is 82%.
All configurations accept a broad range of input voltages: 90 to 264VAC, 47 to 440Hz or
110 to 370VDC. No ground connection is required as the KPS is a Class II device. The models
are rated for operation in a convection cooled environment from 0°C to 70°C, derating linearly to
25% load from 40°C to 70°C.
Lambda’s KPS series power supplies meet EN61000-4-X immunity and Class B EMI
standards. They are also safety approved to UL60950-1, CSA60950-1 and EN60950-1
specifications and are CE marked. All models are RoHS compliant.
The KPS series is available now, with prices starting at $11 each in OEM quantities. More
