Lambda Introduces Single-, Dual- and Triple-Output
Power Supplies with Industry-Standard 2- x 4-inch Footprint
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 19, 2005) - Lambda has announced a new family of power supplies
in the industry-standard 2- x 4-inch format. Called the ZP series, the power supplies are ideal
for use in a wide variety of applications, such as data communications, LED signage, point-ofsale
displays, and test-and-measurement equipment.
Units are available in three different output configurations. A 20- to 60-watt single-output
version includes all the popular voltages from 3.3 to 48 volts, and 30- to 50-watt dual- and tripleoutput
versions provide a choice of output combinations and polarities. Typical efficiency for the
48-volt models is 88%. All three configurations accept a broad range of input voltages: 90 to
264VAC, 47 to 440Hz or 120 to 370VDC.
Rated for operation from 0°C to 70°C ambient, the ZP models derate linearly to between
25 and 50% load at 70°C. The units can be operated with either convection or forced-air
Lambda's ZP series power supplies meet EN61000-4-X immunity and Class B EMI
standards. They are also safety approved to UL60950, CSA60950 and EN60950 specifications
